How can I get started using Family Den?
Why should I use Family Den?
Because your family has a busy life and Family
Den wants to help you spend less time planning and more time living.
How is it different from Facebook or other social apps?
Family Den is unique in two ways. Family Den is not only a social media
tool that lets you stay connected, but it also helps your family stay organized. You can track
events, shopping lists, to do lists, discussions, and chores. Family Den also understands that
not all friends and family have the same significance in your life and allows you to manage your
contacts based on what you want to share and with who.
Is Family Den useful if I don’t have a family?
Family Den realizes not all families are traditional. A family could
consist of close friends, roommates, or significant others. It’s how you interact with your
community. All functionality in Family Den is just as useful regardless of who you are collaborating with.
Can Family Den interact with other social media applications?
Yes. Family Den currently interacts with your contacts and groups on Facebook. We enable
integration between social networks and Family Den, so you coordinate all of it
directly in Family Den. We are constantly adding new integration features as well!
Can I set up email and/or SMS notifications?
Absolutely. The team at Family Den realizes how important your mobile technology
is. In fact, Family Den will soon be mobile, offering even more functionality that utilizes unique features
of your mobile device. We allow each user to setup email or SMS notifications and choose what information
they want alerted on.
Do you have any connectivity with my children’s school calendars?
Yes. In order to help families prevent double entry, we will have the ability to
download homework and events from your child’s school provided that they offer an electronic interface.
More and more schools are adopting Digital Backpacks, and if your school is on that list, Family Den can
import that data for you.
Can I synch with my outlook calendar and contacts?
Yes. In order to help families stay even more connected, we will have the ability to
download contacts and calendars from multiple outlook accounts. Each user can choose whatever information they want
to download and sync back to their outlook calendars and contacts. The events and contacts will be
identified based on which family member downloaded the outlook items.
